Kotoha Ninomiya (Manami Higa) works in the general affairs department at a confectionery company. Suddenly, she receives an order to transfer to the public relations department. She has a hard time there. Making things worse, Kotoha Ninomiya learns that Atsushi Imagawa (Dai Watanabe), whom she holds secret feelings for, is about to marry another woman. They have been friends since they were young. Heart broken, she attends Atsushi’s wedding ceremony. At the ceremony, she is moved by Kumi Kuon’s (Kyoko Hasegawa) congratulatory speech. Kotoha Ninomiya is a legendary speech writer.
Mikuri Moriyama (Yui Aragaki) is 25 years old. She doesn't have a boyfriend and doesn't have a job even though she holds a graduate degree. Everyday, Mikuri Moriyama has a feeling that she is not needed. Her father, unable to see her suffering anymore, arranges for her to work as a housekeeper. Her employer is 36 year old Hiramasa Tsuzaki. He is single and works for a company. A series of events leads them to marry as a working condition.

Remi Takasugi carries out requests from her customers, but she does not provide sexual service. She figures out her customer's tastes and becomes the ideal date for her them. When she finishes her work, she never smiles and she wears bandage around her neck.
Kie Hirano (Haruka Ayase) is an ordinary OL who often daydreams. Mitsumasa Kodai (Takumi Saito) at the same company as Kie Hirano, but he is an elite salaryman. He is the eldest son in the Kodai family and he is also telepathic. Mitsumasa Kodai got his special ability to read other people's mind from his British grandmother.

Hatori Matsuzaki (Mirei Kiritani) is a female high school student. She has a crush on her childhood friend Rita Terasaka (Kento Yamazaki) and believes he will eventually choose her as her heroine, but Rita Terasaka begins dating Miho Adachi. Meanwhile, the most popular male student, Kosuke Hiromitsu (Kentaro Sakaguchi) takes an interest in Hatori Matsuzaki.
When she was a middle school student, Futaba Yoshioka liked Kou Tanaka who was unlike the other boys and quite gentle. Kou Tanaka then moved away and they lost contact.
At the end of Futaba Yoshioka's first year as a high school student she meets Kou Tanaka again. Kou Tanaka’s name has changed to Kou Mabuchi and his personality seems different from his middle school days.
Kira Aso (Marie Iitoyo) is a high school student with an introverted personality. When she was a child, her father died in a car accident caused by a motorcycle gang. Now, she sketches the sea everyday during her spring break. One day, Rei Kashino (Taisuke Fujigaya) rides his motorcycle and sees Kira Aso sketching the sea. He sits next to her. Kira isn't used to talking to guys and isn't friendly to Rei Kashino.
The new semester begins. Kira Aso meets Rei Kashino as her classmate. Rei Kashino doesn't get interested in particular style of girls, but he becomes interested in Kira Aso. Harumi Sugihara (Hirona Yamazaki), who likes Rei, and Tatsuya Kida (Yu Inaba), who is Rei ’s friend, are surprised in Rei's interest for Kira.
Makio Kirishima (Masataka Kubota) graduated from the same middle school as Rei Kashino and transfers to the same high school as Rei. The relationship between Kira Aso and Rei Kashino changes.
